Tip #1 Check for online Service Specials or Coupons!
Easiest way to save money on oil change is to compare your local manufacturer service oil change specials and coupons. It is very easy and can be done in less than 5 minutes on the internet. Here is how to do it.
Lets say you are looking to do an oil change and you have a Toyota. You would simply go to google by typing www.google .com
Scroll down to see a list of Toyota Dealerships in your area
Open a new tab for all the local dealerships you would be willing to drive to for an oil change service…(in this example we have 3 see below)
Each dealership has a service menu, you would either hover over the service menu or click on it. Most service centers have a sub menu for “Service Specials” or “Service Coupons” on their website as can be seen below.
Dealership Service Center 1
As you can see for our example the first dealership service center has both oil change coupon and service specials menu.
Service Center 2 had Service Specials but unfortunately they were not running any oil change specials for this month (See below)
Service Center 3 also had Service Specials on their website and were running a oil change promotion listed below.
For this example you would go to dealer 1 because they currently have the best oil change special in your area for $29.95.
Tip #2 Bring Your Own Oil!
A good way to save money on your next oil change is to buy your own oil from your local Walmart or Auto Parts store. With online coupons you can get 5 quarts Mobil 1 Full Synthetic oil and filter for $25-$30. Most oil change service centers will let you bring your own oil and charge you $15-$20 for labor. This means that you get top of the line Mobile 1 Full Synthetic Oil Change for as low as $40-$50 and you didn’t even have to do the work yourself. It’s best to call few local oil change service centers and see how much they would charge you for an oil change if you bring your own oil. This will ensure you get the best possible price using this method to save money.
Tip #3 Take your Luxury Car to Manufacturer Service Center!
Luxury car oil changes are expensive but they don’t have to be! Many people are surprised to find that Volkswagen manufactures Audis, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley and 11 other popular brands. Honda manufactures Acura. Ford manufactures Lincoln and Mercury. Toyota manufactures Lexus cars. If you have luxury car like Lexus you can take your Lexus to a Lexus Service center and pay $99.99 for a full synthetic oil change or you can take your Lexus to the people that made it ,Toyota Service Center, and pay approximately $49.99 for a full synthetic oil change. That is a saving of $50 on your next oil change for your Luxury car!! Most Luxury car brands are made by different manufacturers so you can take advantage of this to save money on your next oil change. For a full list of manufacturers and their car brands click here.
Tip #4 Do It Yourself!
As mentioned previously, with the help of coupons, you can purchase 5 quarts of Mobile 1 full synthetic oil and an oil filter for $25-$30. If you do the oil change yourself you can save thousands of dollars over the lifespan of your car on oil changes. If you don’t know how to do the oil change on your car it is easy. You can have a family member or a friend teach you. Alternatively, you can also watch a Do IT Yourself (DIY) video on YouTube that will show you step by step on how to change oil for your particular car.
Tip #5 Online Coupons!
We try to emphasize on our website that you should never pay regular price for an oil change. If you are in a hurry and don’t have time to do previously mentioned tips you can always take 20 seconds to find an oil change coupon online. Most popular oil change service centers like Jiffy Lube, Valvine Instant oil change, Express Oil Change and manufacturer service centers offer different coupons each month. A quick search on Google or our website will save you 10-40% on your next oil change!
